Bellamkonda seriously mooting sequel to Kandireega

With Kandireega making many Bollywood producers to want to acquire its remake rights, looks like Bellamkonda Suresh is keen on playing ball to make a film on the basis of Santosh Srinivas' idea of making a sequel to it. The movie will again star Ram in the lead.

The rom-com was appreciated for its screenplay in the second half, though the story was not very inventive. The debutante director, it seems, wants to build on the intelligence of the narration and present the second part with more of the same. It was felt that Sonu Sood's characterization was one of the key reasons for the success of Kandireega. It will be interesting to see if the writers retain the character.

There is good enough reason to believe that the second part will be an even more interesting cat-and-mouse fight between Ram and Sonu Sood. Also, will there be the usual dose of everything from the Warangal dialect to Champakamala-kinda songs?
