The trailer of Akshay Kumar's much-awaited upcoming Bollywood espionage drama 'Bell Bottom' was unveiled recently and the audience is all surprised to see late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's character portrayed by Lara Dutta, who looks unrecognizable as the iconic figure.

During the press conference post the trailer launch, Lara Dutta was asked by the Press about the character she portrays in the film. When the actress told the members of the media to guess her character, nobody could figure it out. "If anyone is able to guess, then I will take all their family members free to the theatres," she said. When nobody could guess it right, Lara Dutta herself revealed, "So you did see me in the trailer. I'm playing Mrs Indira Gandhi. That's me." Everyone in the crowd was shocked to hear that.

‘Bell Bottom’, set in 1984, the year that saw Operation Bluestar as well as Mrs. Gandhi’s assassination, is slated for an August 19 theatrical release. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Huma Quresh in important roles. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, the movie is based on a true story that follows an undercover RAW agent (played by Akshay) who is assigned the mission of rescuing 210 hostages from a hijacked Indian plane.
