Have you heard of ‘Bell Bottom’ pants and long collar shirts of the 70’s and 80’. It is time to recollect the old fashion in the new film of ace director Jayathirtha who is trying different angles to his films right from ‘Olave Mandhara’.

Director Jayathirtha is directing Director Rishab Shetty as hero in ‘Bell Bottom’ Kannada film with Haripriya as female lead in Golden Horse Cinema produced by Santosh Kumar KC.

It is an investigative subject written with imagination by Dayanand. Jayathirth has adapted it to silver screen. Detective Divakar is Rishab Shetty actor of ‘Ulidavaru Kandanthe’, director of Ricky, Kirik Party, Katha Sangama and Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Prowda shaale Kasaragodu.

Ajanish Lokanath scoring music while Aravind Kashyap is cameraman. Director Jayathirtha is taking the audience to the mood of 80’s.  in the confusion of Detective Divakara he is taking audience for a journey in two hours plus.

There is humor, love and thrilling moments. Ace director Shivamani is playing the role of Modi Manja. There is Gubai Khan, Radio Raja, Sagani Pinto etc as characters in the film. Haripriya female lead is Kusuma in this film. Jayathirtha is going to different places of Dakshin Kannada to get feel of 80’s.

Watching films at young age Rishab Shetty was also wearing the similar costumes and one of the films costume was his bell bottom at 6th standard. A grown up Rishab Shetty is wearing Bell Bottom pant, new hair style with side lock, lengthy moustache for him. He is acting in this film ‘Bell Bottom’ in the free space he has till June this year. Direction is my main profession he says.

I have time till June so I have taken acting = Kathasangama and Sarkari Prouda Shaale Kasaragodu….have been completed. The team is not going to say we had picnic while shooting. Harid Hogo Ashtu Kelsa…is coming before my eyes say Rishab Shetty.

Lovely looking Haripriya worked with Rishab Shetty in Ricky and with Jayathirtha in ‘Bullet Basya’. This is a good team to work. I have given consent in just one call. The costume will be of olden days says Haripriya. Both the directors I have worked were so immaculate in their work adds Haripriya.

This is a new thought and approach in the cinema making. The director should keep on moving with novelties in his making. That is what Jayathirtha is doing. There is danger and satisfaction in making such attempts. Shivamani in a special role is happy to work with the team.

Pramod Shetty is in inspector role and also works as executive producer. Producer Santosh Kumar KC is a tabla player on stage is a good friend of writer Dayanand. It was his ambition to produce a film materializing now.
