Watching a power-packed Bollywood film in a theatre is finally possible and Akshay Kumar has once again impressed everyone with his performance and made the experience even more fun! The trailer and the BGM certainly did create a buzz for the film and actors like Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and Huma Qureshi added hype to the fans.
The impeccable work by the make-up artist of the film became viral as Lara Dutta was unrecognizable playing the character of Mrs. Indira Gandhi and made people turn heads. Has the film met its expectations? Well, the answer to that is a big yes!! It has certainly been a big success among the people, but critics don't think likewise.
The film revolves around RAW agent Anshul (Akki) who is called upon to do the impossible task of re-capturing a hijacked plane and landing it safely without any bloodshed. The protagonist strikes an emotional connection with the audience when his mother is killed by Pakistanis in a similar-like plane hijack. The leading lady also does justice to her role and has an amazing character arc. Lara Dutta plays her career-defining role in Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Huma Qureshi's portrayal will blow your mind.
The narrative and the story are pacy and keeps you engaged till the very end. The VFX could be better and the songs are also well-placed giving the audience a groovy mood in the right intervals. The costume designer definitely deserves a shoutout for replicating the 80s in Scotland and the film overall gives a fresh breath of theatrical experience in the post-COVID era (hopefully).
