Two days prior to the release of Bejawada, Ram Gopal Varm and Vivek Krishna have sought to prepare the audience by speaking about how different this film is when compared to Shiva.

RGV says that Shiva was inspired by many films like Godfather, Arjun and Arthsathya, where as Vivek Krishna has made Bejawada inspired by films like Shiva, Sarkar and a host of other films of his favourite directors. Moreover, Shiva was made in such a way as to reflect the prevailing conditions in 1989. On the other hand, Bejawada takes into account the changed conditions in society as well as the latest trends in today’s cinema.

RGV cites an example of how the director has lent his distinct touch to Bejawada. He modernized the cycle chase background music in Shiva and stylistically adapted it in the fim, says RGV of VK's style.
