Producer of repute Shailendra Babu is going behind the family title. He has learnt the lessons from the success of Kutumba and Gowramma – both remakes and both starring Upendra that earned him good results in the box office.

He is now producing the film 'Ganda Hendathi and a boy friend'. The beautifully designed invitation says 'Love is the thirst of youth'. There are only six characters on screen in this Ravi Srivatsa's second directorial venture. Venu is the cameraman and Gurukiran is the music director. M.S.Rajasehkar and Ramesh have jointly penned the screenplay and Coffee Raghavendra provides the dialogues.

Thilak and Archana are making debut in this film. Vishal Hegde, Manju Bashini, Editor of Hai Bangalore Ravi Belegere are in the rest of the roles.

The film is going on the floors on 3rd February 2006 at Rockline Studios. This film has the strong shades of 'Murder' Hindi film.
