'Casting Couch' is certainly prevalent in many film industries across the country. Due to the increasing public awareness as a result of digital revolution and also because of the increasing feeling of liberation felt by young women, the lid has been blown more often in recent past.

The latest to join the list of actresses to comment about 'Casting Couch' is a young Malayalam actress named Hima Shankar.

In a recent interview, Hima has said that when she was a student at a drama school some years ago, a couple of persons from the film industry asked her if she would be interested in a "bed with acting package". She said she immediately rejected the cheap proposal.

It is to be noted that senior Malayalam actor Innocent, who is also the President of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists), recently stirred up a controversy by stating that "casting couch" is a thing of the past and no some girls voluntarily grant such favours to get a film opportunity.
