'Arabic Kuthu', the first song from Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast', has been on a rampage. Released on Valentine's Day, the lyrical video has proved the talent of not just Vijay and Pooja Hegde, but also composer-singer Anirudh.
The song has stunned everyone by bulldozing over 'Kalaavathi', the Mahesh Babu song that was released a day before. 'Kalavaathi', shot on Mahesh and Keerthy Suresh and composed by Thaman, clocked a whopping 16 million views in 24 hours. It became the biggest hit in the history of south Indian cinema that way.
Not many could foresee that 'Arabic Kuthu' would be pipping the record so soon. The 'Beast' song monstrously clocked more than 16 million views in much less time.
With this, everyone is saying that the massy number has been viewed by North Indians, too, in large numbers. It's understandable. 'Kalaavathi', rendered by Sid Sriram, is more of a melody and it couldn't have managed to outcompete 'Arabic Kuthu'.
'Beast' will hit the screens on April 14, while 'SVP' will arrive on May 12.
