Be shocked! Internet bandh in Tamil Nadu!

Following the death of about 12 anti-Sterlite protestors in Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, the State Government has been on guard. Latest, the state's Chief Secretary has written to all Internet service providers to suspend data services in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts till May 27.

Nefarious elements are spreading dangerous messages on social media. That's why the suspension, a report quotes the CS as saying.

Kamal Haasan has condemned it severely, asking if excommunication of Tamil Nadu is coming next! Sarath Kumar said, It will be a dastardly move to jam all internet connections in Tutucorin and surrounding districts. If it is true the repercussions will be unfathomable.
