Board of Control for Crlcket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly recently spoke regarding how he felt about Indian Test captain Virat Kohli. This comes days after Virat Kohli contradicted the BCCI’s statement regarding his captaincy.
During an event at Gurgaon on Saturday, Ganguly was asked which cricketer’s attitude he liked best. In response to that, the BCCI president said he liked Virat Kohli’s attitude although he fights a lot. Ganguly was then asked about how he dealt with all the stress in his life. “There is no stress in life. Only wife and girlfriend give stress,” he responded. Kohli had earlier made controversial remarks during a press conference where he contradicted Ganguly’s earlier statement that the board had requested Kohli to not step down as the T20I captain.
The BCCI president had claimed that he had spoken to Kohli about how it would not be ideal to have two different captains in the white-ball format and that that was the reason behind appointing Rohit Sharma as the new captain of the T20I as well as the ODI formats. Kohli also stated at the press conference that his removal from ODI captaincy happened 90 minutes before the team’s selection for the South Africa tour.
