The Board of Cricket Control for India BCCI has announced that the Indian Premier League 2019 will be held in India, and March 23 has been proposed as the start date of the tournament. Today, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) appointed by the Supreme court of India had a meeting to discuss on IPL 2019.

This meeting was held specifically to decide on the venues and transfer window of 2019 IPL, and in this meeting, after initial discussions, the decision was made to conduct 2019 IPL in India.The Board of cricket Control for India had made important discussions with State authorities as well as central agencies, and had taken the final call on conducting the 12th edition of the premier cricketing tournament in India.

It must be noted that initially there were speculations that the tournament might be moved to South Africa or UAE, with the doubts prevailing over India hosting IPL 2019 as the Lok Sabha elections are planned between April - May. The IPL 2019 schedule will be released by BCCI after discussions with stakeholders.
