Baskar is Bharathi now

Making a mark in comedy these days is M S Baskar. The actor, who has become a preferred member of the cast for many directors, bagged a State award too recently.

And if sources are to be believed, he is appearing in the getups of saint poet Thiruvalluvar and Mahakavi Bharathi in 'Thambikottai', a film which has Narain and Poonam Bajwa in lead roles.

Sincerity is my strong point, says the comedian-character artiste, who adds the State Award for his performance in 'Mozhi' is a new feather in his cap. This is the first big award that has come my way, he says.

I must thank director Radha Mohan and producer Prakash Raj. When Radha Mohan narrated my part in 'Mozhi', I told him that he should give me at least a day’s time to prepare myself. Everything went off well finally.
