Barghavacharitham Moonaam Ghantam
Mammootty is the badshah of Malayalam filmdom. Having reinvented himself as a mass hero, Mammootty is again doing a typical movie.
Whenever Mammootty and Sreenivasan have joined together they had been able to deliver themes of substance. The films like 'Golantharavatha' and `Mazhayethum Munpe' has been examples of their mighty combination. Now they are again into another similar prototype, for a director who is known for his action flicks-Joemon who has rendered Jackpot with Sreenivasan, who is known for his sardonic humor. The latter has penned the script and screenplay for the movie. The film with the title 'Bhargavacharitham Moonam Ghattam' is in its final stages of post production.
As the name suggests, the film is the story of Bhargavan, popularly known as Current Bhargavan, a don known for his killer instincts in operations. He is the chief of Ganja mafia in the state. At some time of his busy life, he is in a position to seek help from the world famous psychiatrist, Dr Shantaram, played by Sreenivasan.
The psychiatrist tries to refrain from the Don's call for help. But, ultimately his life slips out of his control when the dreaded don Bhargavan walks into his clinic one day for consultation. Bhargavan is worried that he is losing his killer-instincts! Shantaram has no choice but to accept him as his patient and treat him.
The film seems to be inspired by the Hollywood hit film `Analyze That', starring Robert De Niro. The film will also feature Padmapriya in the female lead, third time in a Mammootty film. The other important casts include Johny, Nikhitha and Mohan Jose. The film with no songs will have the rerecording done by Ouseppachan.
The film, which is produced by Noushad and Najeeb under the NNS Arts banner, is scheduled to be released for Onam.
