Veteran artist and director Bapu has roped in Balakrishna for a new movie based on the story of Lord Rama’s children – Lava and Kusa.

Making mythological movies is not new to Bapu who has made some golden movies like Sampoorna Ramayanam, Seetha Kalyanam and many more will now make a new movie based on the story of Lava and Kusa. Balakrishna will play the lead role in the movie. Interestingly, an old movie based on the same story titled ‘Lava Kusha’ had NT Ramarao in the lead role and now his son Balakrishna is part of the new version.

The movie has been named Sri Ramajayam. The movie launch will take place on September 30th. Maestro Ilayaraja will handle the music for the movie. Reports have it that the maestro has already recorded two songs.

If Balakrishna is Lord Rama, wonder who Sita is. There is a lot of speculation that Nayantara will play the coveted role but nothing has been confirmed. Whom do you think, will suit the role of Sita?
