Bandla Ganesh has joined the Congress party on Friday. President Rahul Gandhi has welcomed him formally into the national party in New Delhi. Ganesh is now in Delhi along with several other Cong leaders from Telangana. He is most likely to contest on as an MLA in the upcoming T polls.
"Rahul Gandhi ji's grandmother and father lost their lives in serving the country. I am very thankful to him for welcoming me into the party," he said. "I have not asked for any ticket. I am here to serve the party. I will do whatever the party asks me to do. If they ask me to contest, I will. Otherwise, I will not," he said in Delhi soon after meeting with Rahul.
For the past few weeks, Ganesh has been very actively sharing Rahul's tweets on his social media accounts. Not unsurprisingly, he has also been retweeting Nara Chandrababu Naidu's tweets from time to time.
Known as someone who prides himself as a Pawan Kalyan fan, Ganesh was popular as a comedian in the 1990s. After acting in a number of Telugu films, he went on to become a big-ticket producer and produced 'Gabbar Singh' and 'Temper' in this decade.
