'Banaras' to start at Varanasi

After the state award winning debut film 'Gourisankaram', famous art director turned director Nemom Pushparaj is on to direct his second venture titled 'Banaras'. The pooja of the movie was held last week at the Muscat hotel in the capital city, where the state educational minister M A baby lit the ceremonial lamp.

The movie which is based on a story by the producer M R Nair will be scripted for the screen by Cheriyaan Kalpakavaady. The movie which is basically a dance and music fest will have Vineeth and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles.

Also in the cast are Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy , Suraj Venjaaramoodu, Anoop Chandran, Vijay Menon, Suresh Krissna, Urmila Unni and Bindu Panikkar.

'Banaras' will be brought to the theatres by Minerva Release.
