BAN rules the roost in Tamil Nadu

As we reported yesterday, 'Bharat Ane Nenu' grossed higher than even 'Rangasthalam' in Chennai city in terms of Day 1 record.  On Saturday (that is, Day 2), it only bettered Friday's gross by one lakh rupees by netting Rs. 28 lakh in the metro.  This is the best-ever record for a Telugu movie in the city.

In the whole of Tamil Nadu, its Day 1 gross stood at Rs. 78 lakhs and a net of Rs. 56 lakhs. What is the combined figure for the first two days?  Its share is pegged at Rs. 1.18 Cr, while the gross is close to Rs. 1.65 Cr.

The Mahesh Babu-Koratala Siva movie, worldwide, grossed Rs. 100 Cr by the end of Saturday.
