The oral ban of one year on actor Vijay made on 31st October 2007 has been lifted by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce a day before the launch of Vijay's new film 'Mukyamantri I Love You'. Vijay is playing the role of former chief minister of Karnataka H.D.Kumaraswamy in this film.
The ban of one year on actor of Dhuniya fame Vijay was imposed on account of his failure to turn up for the dubbing of his own film 'Chanda' produced and directed by S.Narayan. Vijay abstained from dubbing fearing the breach of promise made by S.Narayan to release the film 'Chanda' after 50 days of release of Vijay's another film 'Yuga' made by newcomers. This is the single handed fight Vijay had taken up abstaining from dubbing for 'Chanda' that resulted in ban on his career for one year by the KFCC supporting director S.Narayan.
With all these developments the KFCC in an emergency meeting on Wednesday decided to lift the oral ban it made on actor Vijay.
Reacting to the lifting of ban Vijay said this was expected.
