Sathyaraj is known for speaking from his heart.

A jovial actor, who is still holding sway in Kollywood playing lead roles, says, 'I know this craze and charm are only temporary. However my stay in cinema would be permanent. For after a few years, I would gleefully accept to play character roles or baddies'.

A busy star acting in nearly half-a-dozen movies now, says, 'I cannot compete with young actors today and hence I chose a way to survive - doing movies like Maha Nadigan and Englishkaran.'

Asked about his son, Sathyaraj says, 'he has made a good start and it is for him to choose right scripts and establish himself in the industry'.

But the industry is upset with Sathyaraj as he has been taking pot shots at them. In fact, many people allege Sathyaraj to be clever by half, and soon his tactics would boomerang on him.
