The Tamil version of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' will be hitting the screens in Tamil in a big way. The historical releases on August 11th, clashing with Dhanush's 'VIP-2' and Rana's 'Naan Aanayittaal'.

Produced by 'Sujathaputra' Narendra, this dubbed film comes in the wake of the unprecedented success of 'Baahubali-2' in that State. Since 'GPSK' is a historical with universally appealing emotions, it could well pull off a surprise.

Marudu Bharani and Vairamuthu have penned the dialogues and lyrics.

"I am a son of the Tamil soil. I was brought up in Chennai and I drank the water of this land," Balayya recently said when he was to the city for the audio release function of the film.
