Nandamuri Balakrishna, speaking at the audio release function of Savithri, had the audience in splits with his light-veined speech in which he referred to his naughty avatars on screen. "A while ago, the heroine said that she found Nara Rohit a very co-operative actor. I was telling Shraddha Das, who was sitting next to me, that he has to be. He is as naughty as I am. 'Nenu ekkani yetthulu levu, choodani lothulu levu'," he said, making the audience whistle, clap, and laugh.
Further, he said, "My fans won't keep quiet if I'm made to fall behind the heroine. Muddadali, leka kadupu cheseyali anthe," he said, smiling in his style. "No music director has so far made me sing. Rohit has dared to sing," he said.
In his speech peppered with Sanskrit slokas, he referred to his legendary father's talisman for people's representatives. "Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao garu used to say that people are not to be ruled, people are to be served by the leader."
"Savithri is a family entertainer. The female-oriented title reminds me of my Legend dialogue on the greatness of woman. Rohit has got a talent for methodical acting. He has his own place now. I appreciate him for acting in a film with a title like this," Balayya said.
