Recently, Nandamuri Balakrishna was not present as part of the Tollywood delegation that met with AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas and SS Rajamouli were present. But Balayya and Jr NTR were absent. A few days after the meet, Balayya said that he had turned down the invite because he didn't want to meet with the CM on the cinema ticket pricing issue. The senior actor, who is also a politician, said that he never believes in hiking his remuneration and inconveniencing the producers of his movies.
But AP Minister and YCP leader Perni Nani today claimed that Balayya called him up personally and expressed his wish to meet Jagan to discuss issues concerning 'Akhanda'. "When I told the CM about the same, he said that whatever Balakrishna garu needs should be taken care of by the authorities. He didn't want to make Balakrishna garu call on him personally. Jaganmohan Reddy garu felt that it would inconvenience the actor," Nani today said.
He also said that a new Government Order revising the cinema ticket prices was scheduled to be released on Feb 23 but the sudden demise of Minister Goutham Reddy resulted in an indefinite postponement.
