In the recent episode of 'Unstoppable' with Pawan Kalyan, Nandamuri Balakrishna narrated an incident from decades ago when he met with a road accident somewhere near the Nizam Colege in Hyderabad due to an overspeeding rider. He was rushed to a nearby hospital. "It's when I saw the female nurse," said the 'Veera Simha Reddy' actor, indicating that she was hot. The 'Akhanda' actor sounded disrespectful in saying so.
Organizations representing nurses have raised objections, demanding that Balakrishna must tender an apology. On Monday, the actor-politician put out a statement saying that his words have been twisted.
"I have a lot of respect for sisters who tend to patients. I have been a direct witness to the services rendered by nurses at our Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. During the coronavirus pandemic, their services have been indispensable. If my comments have really hurt anybody's sentiments, I tender an apology," he said.
Balakrishna's apologetic views might mean that the nurses' associations are not going to demand the muting of the remarks on the Aha show.
