While many may have not noticed, Balakrishna has been surprising one and all with his curious choices. Out of the blue, he chose a historical, that too, the role of an emperor like Gautamiputra Satakarni, as his 100th film. As his 101th film, he has okayed Krishna Vamsi's Rythu.

If these are surprising choices, his 102nd film is not. It's because it's a usual suspect who is going to direct it. It's Boyapati Sreenu, the forever-'Sarrainodu' for Balayya. When B Gopals of the world went out of fashion, it was Boyapati who delivered two blockbusters for Balayya.

However, the director of his 103rd film is again a surprise package. It's Anil Ravipudi. Although a commercial director, he has no track record of directing a superstar till now. And Balayya is a massy actor. Secondly, Ravipudi's second film and third film (the yet-to-be-filmed movie with Ram) are interesting because, while in the former a child actor was allowed to overshadow the hero (as per the script), in his next, the hero (that is, Ram) is going to be seen in the role of a blind man.

Balayya has given the nod to Ravipudi's script titled Rama Rao Garu (supposedly, Balayya will be seen in the role of an IPS officer in this flick) in this context. One appreciates Balayya for teaming up with young generation directors for a change.
