Nandamuri Balakrishna has added another prestigious milestone to his illustrious career, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026. The grand event was held at Bharat Mandapam, marking a significant moment for Telugu cinema on an international platform.
The award recognises Balakrishna’s exceptional contribution to Indian cinema over a remarkable five-decade journey. Known for his commanding screen presence and versatility, he has remained a powerful force across generations of audiences.
The honour was presented by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during the ceremony held on March 25, attended by several notable figures from the film and cultural fraternity.
Further strengthening his recent success streak, his film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, won Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 71st National Film Awards.
In addition, Balakrishna was conferred the Padma Bhushan in 2025, recognising his immense contribution to Indian cinema and the arts.
With a legacy spanning mythological classics to mass entertainers, Balakrishna continues to remain a defining figure in Telugu cinema. His latest honour at IFFD 2026 stands as a testament to his enduring impact and celebrates a journey that continues to inspire generations.
