Nandamuri Balakrishna has once again come to the rescue of a girl suffering from a terminal illness. Ankita, a 10-year-old from the Kalugodu village in Anantapur district, has been diagnosed with cancer. Balayya has promised financial assistance of Rs. 10 lacs for the girl's treatment. The family, which is hardly in a position to meet the expenses, is now in a position to provide for their child's treatment.

It may be noted that the Nandamuris have in the past, too, done such philanthropic activities. Balayya, who is the MLA of Hindupur village in the same district, acting as the girl and the family's saviour is praiseworthy.

Actors like him, Pawan Kalyan, Raghava Lawrence and the like are doing their bit to better the conditions of fellow humans, thereby becoming true role models.
