Nandamuri Balakrishna today extended his sincerest congratulations to Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and 'Baahubali' screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad upon being nominated to the Rajya Sabha by India's President. He also mentioned PT Usha and Veerendra Heggade in his message.

"It is a matter of pride that two individuals who have had a long-time association with the Telugu film industry have been nominated to the Upper House of the Parliament. Vijayendra Prasad garu has spread the glory of Tollywood far and wide. On the other hand, Maestro has won the hearts of millions of music lovers over the decades. Their Rajya Sabha nomination is a matter of glory for the entire south film industry," Balayya said.
