Actor Vikranth, the cousin of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, made his acting debut as a hero in the film 'Karka Kasadara' that released in 2005. He has been working hard with utmost sincerity to carve a niche for himself as a hero. In the recent years he has been acting in some memorable supporting characters and getting constant positive feedback from critics and audience. The latest one is 'Kavan' n which he played the role of rebel.
Vikranth has played one of the leads in director Samuthurakani's 'Thondan' which has been scheduled to hit the screens on May 9, 2017. During the audio release function of the film, Vikranth received a surprising gift he would never have dreamt of.
National award winning director Bala who was one of the prominent guests of the audio launch function called Vikranth on the dais to stand with him while he spoke.
"When this chap came to my office for the first time I addressed him as Sethu. That was his character name in Suseenthiran's 'Pandiyanadu', He had done the role so well that his character name got registered in my mind as his name. Mar my words, within two years from now he will become a big star of his own might. I am confident about that. Even if I fail to facilitate that or no one helps him in that process things will automatically fall in place for him. Opportunities will come knocking to this talented youngster. I wish him the best."
Listening to these huge words from one of the most respected filmmakers in the history of Tamil cinema, Vikranth become visibly emotional.
