National award winning director Bala had last directed the movie Varmaa, which was scrapped, following which he had been planning to direct a Multistarrer involving Arya, Atharva and many other actors.

Now the director is back, this time as a producer presenting a movie in his B Studios banner, starring Producer - actor RK Suresh who was launched by him in Thaarai Thappattai. This movie starring RK Suresh has been titled as Vichithiran.

Vichithiran which is directed by M Padmakumar (who directed the original) is the official Tamil remake of the 2018 Malayalam hit Joseph and also stars Poorna, Madhu Shalini and has music scored by GV Prakash and cinematography by Vetrivel Mahendran.
