'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' director Kabir Khan was heckled and mobbed at Pakistan's Karachi airport today. There were few angry protesters who waved shoes at him and shouted anti-India slogans. He was then about to board a plane for Lahore. The protesters were asking him why he did not make films on the role played by India's intelligence agency RAW in Pakistan. Kabir Khan visited Karachi to take part in a conference.
According to media reports and in the video, one man also waved a shoe at Kabir Khan, who did not respond but just walked away. A protester asked the director, "You people send Jhadav and kill hundreds here. Why don't you make a movie about it?" They were referring to RAW official Kulbhushan Jhadav who has been arrested in Pakistan. Another man also warned Kabir about "Indian conspiracies against the Pakistan Army".
Kabir Khan later commented over the issue by taking to Twitter and said, "To media on both sides: 12 screaming lunatics with a mobile phone camera is not news. Please don't give them the attention they want. Ignore".
