The other day, a 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist by the name of Rinku Sharma was assaulted and murdered brutally by a mob comprising of people from a particular religious community. The incident took place in the Mangolpuri area in Delhi.

As per reports, Rinku had been into collecting funds from donors for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Media reports say that the youngster was hacked to death by about 12 people, five of whom are brothers who belong to the same family. Lathis and knives were deployed to kill Rinku.

A media house has quoted the victim's brother as saying that the mob comprised of women, too.

Netizens are outraged at what has happened. Many are questioning politicians and the media for not highlighting the hate crime against a Hindu.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra, meanwhile, is raising funds for the benefit of the victim's family. So far, Rs 35 lakh has been raised. The aim is to collect Rs 1 Cr.
