It was not an easy task for the filmmakers to make all the three stars look amazing in one frame. The Deewani Mastani song from the movie 'Bajirao Mastani' had to be framed in one word i.e. spectacular. Since the song had to focus on the ravishing Deepika Padukone it was important for the designers that she looked her best and creates an impact on the song.
Sources say that, it took almost six months to get the right fit and design to suit the beautiful Mastani- Deepika Padukone. The song 'Deewani Mastani' has been shot in the Aaina Mahal that was created during the making of Mughal-E-Azam. The ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted a lot of layering and options of colour to overpower the set. So that wanted to use colours like pink, red and gold. At last, when the shooting was over Sanjay was satisfied with the outcome.
