Bahubali 2 tax boon, coffers hefty

The nation pride Bahubali 2` gobbling over Rs.1500 crores from worldwide collection and still going strong is also a windfall for the Karnataka State Commercial Tax department.

The highest tax from one film to come is Bahubali 2`. It makes the department in Karnataka state very happy. The Commercial Tax department has so far collected all time record collection of Rs.17 crores from Bahubali 2 screening in Karnataka state from three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

Among 17 crores Tax the department generated, it is Rs.13.50 crores from Bengaluru and from rest of Karnataka the tax coming was Rs.3.50 crores to the coffers of the government commercial Tax department.

From the multiplex theatres the tax collected was Rs.5.63 crores, from single screens it Rs.2.8 crores. The first part of Bahuhali` of SS Rajamouli had collected Rs.8.94 crores.

The commercial tax department is extremely happy and the film Bahubali 2` is the commercial tax department darling cinema.
