As is well-publicised, Vandemataram Srinivas is turning director with a film titled 'Badmash', being produced by academician Dr. G. Nagaiah. Naga Siddhartha is debuting with the movie, which the producers say, is turning out to be a mass-oriented flick with loads of action and romance.

The idea that a talented musician like Srinivas is directing the movie is a reason why Badmash is so popular among the audience. Its shooting started from the 7th of this month and has been canned in places in and around Hyderabad. The hero's characterisation, the makers promise, will be distinct so much so we will start calling him 'Badmash' Naga Siddhartha after the film's title.

The character opens with spouting these lines: My name is Avinash; in my locality, people call me badmash. The makers tell us that the debutante has got good screen presence and that he suits well for the role he is playing in the film.

So much of action does not mean that the film is bereft of other elements like romance and love. Ektha is the girl who is introduced here. Chandramohan, Suman, Dharmavarapu, Babu Mohan, Venu Madhav and MS Narayana are the other important cast.

Let's hope Srinivas' first directorial will be a big hit.
