Post ‘Agent Vinod’, director Sriram Raghavan brings up a dark, intense drama with Varun Dhawan in lead along with Yami Gautam and Huma Qureshi. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Film, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddique, Divya Dutta, Vinay Pathak and Murli Sharma.
‘Badlapur’ is a story of four characters that are pivotal to the story. Like all Raghvan's film has an interesting and different storyline. Varun has been loved in his lover boy and comic avatars with his recent hits, and will next be seen in an all new action and dark avatar in ‘Badlapur’. It is touted to be one of the most challenging roles in Varun’s career.While Yami plays Varun’s wife, Huma essays the role of a prostitute in the film. The film reportedly has a song, featuring Huma, that gives an ode to 90’s music.
‘Badlapur’ is slated to release sometime in 2015.
