Bad luck for Catherene: Pawan's item girl is Chiranjeevi's!

Way back in May, it was first reported that the 'Sarrainodu' sensation Catherene Tresa was roped in to shake a leg with Megastar Chiranjeevi in an item song. It was a bonanza of sorts as far as the My Lovely Angel of the 'You are my MLA' number was concerned.
As it turns out, unfortunately for her, she has been shown the door. No matter when the decision to drop her was taken, reportedly, it was conveyed to her only when she was about to join the shoot.
The coveted item girl now is Raai Laxmi of 'Kanchana' fame. She has earlier done item songs in films like 'Adhinayakudu', 'Balupu' and, most recently, in 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh'.
It must have been a collaborative decision between Chiranjeevi, VV Vinayak and Ram Charan to rope in the sultry Raai Laxmi.
