Former dancing diva, Helen, will soon be seen in her Bollywood comeback film 'BACHPAN', directed by debutante director Rajiv Sharma.
Reminiscent of last year hit Taare Zameen Par, BACHPAN is a musical family saga, laced with emotions, seen from the perspective of children. As one trade insider who has seen the rushes of the film commented, "Where TZP ends, BACHPAN begins in exploring storytelling from the viewpoint of kids."
And when Rajiv Sharma, who will debut as a director wid BACHPAN, having been an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and sharing his sensibilities, decided to make a film, he thought of making a film that will reflect the sensibilities of children, where the script will be pivotal rather than being run of the mill.
Director Rajiv had conceived BACHPAN, and through the entire time span, visualized Helenji playing the character of the grandmother in his maiden film.
An elated Helen says, "The script was simply amazing. And when I read it I was so overwhelmed, that I decided I had do it."
She adds, "I have also recently seen the rushes of BACHPAN and liked the way it has shaped up immensely."
Helen will be joined by another actress Padmini Kolhapure and four talented children.
Rajiv Sharma has earlier assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Satish Kaushik for Tere Naam and had been associated as a Creative Director for Firoz Nadiadwala's Phir Hera Pheri, Deewane Huye Paagal & Welcome.
