Themed after the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, photographer G. Venket Ram recreated some of the popular paintings of Raja Ravi Varma recently. Mollywood's most talented actress and dancer Shobana was one of the actresses who was featured in his photography. The actress stepped into the shoes of a doting mother, who is holding her child and a puppy by the side, in Ravi Varma's 'there comes papa'. Shobana looked every bit of Ravi Varma’s daughter Mahaprabha Thampuratti in the frame.

Dancer Gopika Verma, who was the guest of honor at the launch of the calendar, revealed that recreating 'there comes papa' was the most challenging one. "But it was amazing to find a baby who was just like her in the painting. It was Shobhana who found the baby. However, taking pictures was not easy at all. The challenge was to keep the baby in her arms, keep the baby looking to the direction just like in the painting, and to include a puppy in the same frame. The baby started to cry when she saw the puppy," said Gopika.

Eleven celebrities including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Shruti Haasan, Khushbu Sundar, Ramya Krishnan, Lissy Lakshmi, Nadia, Lakshmi Manchu, Priyadarshini Govind, Shobana Chandrakumar, Aishwarya Rajesh and Chamundeshwari recreated Raja Ravi Varma's artistic portraits and were photographed by Venket Ram for his calendar.
