'Darling' Swamy, the story writer of Babu Bangaram, has said on record that the film is the first full-fledged family entertainer to come from Venkatesh many years after Nuvvu Naku Nacchav and Malleeshwari happened. Echoing his views, Venky too has said that Babu Bangaram is a fun film. "It's a family entertainer. I am not playing a funny cop. I am playing a cop with his own quirks. Pity is a trait that is there in his genes. That's why the 'ayyo ayyo' quirk", Venky has said.

As for the writer, he is pretty much sure that the comedy involving Brahmanandam, Prudhviraj, Posani, and Vennela Kishore will be a major highlight of the film.

"You won't find twists or heavy-duty emotional scenes in the film. Maruthi has made it as a fun-filled entertainer. The hero has 'jali' toward one and all. What follows when such a hero takes it upon himself to save the heroine (Nayanatara) from a trouble, is the crux", the writer has said.
