Its almost an year since the legendary actor Irrfan Khan passed away. This was so great a loss for his family as well as Indian Cinema and the void he left cannot be filled. This year, Irrfan bagged two Filmfare Awards and his Babil was present to receive them on the actor's behalf. A video of Babil receiving the awards was shared recently by Colors TV on their instagram account and it is sure to make any cinema fan cry.

It started with a heartwarming tribute to Irrfan. When the Rajkummar Rao, who was hosting the ceremony and Ayushmann Khurrana, who was presenting the award, started talking about Irrfan, Babil couldn't contain himself and started to cry inconsolably. He then went on the stage to recieve the award and thanked everyone for the love they gave him and promised to take Indian Cinema to new heights with everyone's help.

Ever since Irrfan passed away, Babil kept his legacy and memories alive among fans through his instagram account. He often shares old and unseen photographs and unheard stories about the man. He is adored by Irrfan's fans as well celebs like Ayushmann, Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat and others.
