It's been around two years since Irrfan Khan left this world for his heavenly abode. Since then, his son Babil Khan has taken upon himself to continue his legacy by making a career in the field of acting. The youngster gets a lot of support from several fellow actors and filmmakers and recently, he took to Instagram to share a heartwarming note of appreciation from Amitabh Bachchan himself.

The note read, "Thank you for your warm personal note to me. Life is transient and death is unfathomable, but 'Friendship' transcends death. Memories made, create a lasting impression on those left behind, and will never be forgotten. Each time we are reminded of a loved one through a phrase, a joke, an action. These are the things that will keep us close despite death."

It continued, "Your father Irrfan was a great soul and everyone whose lives he touched, are better for having known him. He is missed dearly." Big B finally concluded the note by stating, "My regards to your mother Sutapa, your brother Ayaan and self."

Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan had worked alongside each other in the film 'Piku'. Their banter was one of best aspect of the film which was directed by Shoojit Sircar and also starred Deepika Padukone.
