As Baba Kalyani, the latest flick from Mohanlal is expected to make a release this weekend, hectic acts of promotion are on the run for the film.

The film is planned to make a release in 62 theatres, in 45 centres across the state. In most places even small centres like Attingal, Adoor, Moovatupuzha and Manjeri etc, the film is releasing in two screens, something unheard in the trade.

The film is of much interest to the trade buffs already.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal has agreed to give the dates for the director of the film 'Photographer'. Moreover Baba Kalyani comes from Shaji Kailas and Aashirwad Films of Antony Perumbavoor, who had never faltered in creating hits for the star. The film is being distributed by the oldest and reputed Central Pictures, Kottayam who are getting the best screens in Kerala for it.
