If you thought there something that Baahubali has not achieved, the film has accomplished even that. Making the Telugu film industry proud, the magnum opus has won the National Award for Best Film.

The 63rd National Awards were announced minutes ago. Baahubali getting the award has caught not many by surprise, this one being one of the most popular magnum opuses ever made. Shobhu Yarlagadda has said that this is a rare honour that a Telugu film has got. He has been quoted as saying that in the past, Shankarabharanam and Githanjali were the Telugu films which received this coveted honour.

Amitabh Bacchan received the Best Actor for his role in 'Piku'. Kangna Ranaut received the Best Actor (Female) for Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Best Director Award went to Sanjay Leela Bhansali for 'Bajirao Mastani'.
