Baahubali sweeps IIFA Utsavam

Director SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning has won the Best Film Award at the first edition of IIFA Utsavam in Hyderabad. Nominated in 12 categories, Baahubali has walked away with 6 awards including Best Direction and Best Picture. The other awards pocketed by the film include Best Supporting Actor (Male & Female) for Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishna respectively.

The film also won awards for best Playback Singer (Male & Female) for Haricharan Seshadri and Geetha Madhuri.

Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, Baahubali featured Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka and Tamannah in lead roles. The makers are currently busy filming the sequel Baahubali: The Conclusion in Kerala. MM Keeravani is scoring the music.
