The April 7 re-release of the Hindi version of 'Baahubali-The Beginning' has fallen flat. The magnum opus hit the screens in about 1000 screens, thanks to the efforts of Dharma Productions and Anil Thadani. As a strategy to revive interest in the movie, they even announced an offer: those who watch the first part are assured of ticket to the second part.
Even this sexy offer couldn't see through the biggest ever re-release in the history of Indian cinema. Lukewarm response and even empty theatres have come of the movie.
Perhaps, Karan Johar had better not re-released it. But how come a suave businessman like him failed to see this coming? He was confident that those who didn't or couldn't watch the first part when it released in 2015 will be excited to watch it this time in the wake of it getting unprecedented applause and prestigious awards.
