There are many ways in which the tribals in India have been brought into the mainstream. Recently, the Chhattisgarh police have sought to do it through a mini-theatre in the Abhujmad region. They have set up the theatre in the Basing village of this Naxal-affected area. Through this, the administration wants to both entertain and educate the tribals.
And guess the first movie to have been played in this theatre? It's the universally-appealing 'Baahubali', the SS Rajamouli-Prabhas-Rana magnum opus. The costume drama is bringing smiles on the faces of the inhabitants of this region, says a report.
This visual spectacle is a big hit among the tribals who have had no access to TV and mobiles. The policemen who are witness to the happiness on the faces of the tribals are looking forward to playing more and more movies, documentaries, etc in the future.
The mini-theatre has been set up at a cost of more than Rs 15 lakh. It will cover 13 villages.
