'Baahubali' becomes the highest opener: Karan Johar

Karan Johar, who is presenting the Hindi version of Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali: The Beginning', is thrilled with the collections of the film on the opening day of it`s release.
The 43-year-old, who has associated with Rajamouli for the first time, took to Twitter on Saturday to acknowledge his work, and says that it is the highest opening of any movie.
"Unanimous critical acclaim and applause from across the country!! @ssrajamouli is the man of the moment and beyond...#Baahubali," Johar posted in a series of tweets.
"#Baahubali SHATTERS all box office records and emerges as the highest opener ever! Record day 1 even for a dubbed film...phenomenal," he added.
'Baahubali: The Beginning', the first part in a two-part war drama, which released on Friday, collected Rs.60 crore on its opening day itself.
In US alone, the film, which revolves around the rivalry between two brothers, minted a whopping Rs.15 crore. Produced by Arka Media Works, 'Baahubali: The Beginning' released in over 4,000 screens in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
