Until last week, the release of 'Baahubali 2' in Karnataka was uncertain. The pro-Kannadiga factions were up in arms against the film and they were planning to stall the screening of the film the entire state unless actor Sathyaraj who has played an important character in the film apologises for his comments against the interests of Karnataka.

Sathyaraj expressed his regret in a dignified manner without giving up his stand and statute and only then the protesters withdrew their plans to stall the release.

On Friday (April 29), 'Baahubali 2' released across the state of Karnataka along with many other places across the globe.

After all the storms, what a poetic justice it is! The film has created a new history in Karnataka box office by grossing around Rs.19.5 crores on Day 1. Reportedly, 'B2' has shattered all the opening records of Karnataka box office with almost double margin.

This clearly proves that the people of Karnataka were overwhelmingly in support of 'Baahubali' and they were eager to watch the sequel.Their wish has been fulfilled thanks to the matured behaviour of Sathyaraj and Rajamouli which ended the controversy in time.
