On its release day,director S.S.Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2' had collected Rs.91 lakhs in Chennai box office city. The collections fell shorter than expected because the special morning shows were cancelled and the first show of the film started only at 11 am on April; 28th.

Yesterday, which is the second day of release, the collections have exceeded the first day's in Chennai. The epic fantasy sequel has collected Rs.1.13 crores on its second day in the city.

The film has released in three languages in Chennai. The Tamil version has collected Rs.90 lakhs and Telugu version 17 lakhs. The Hindi version has collected Rs.1.40 lakhs. This is the third best single day gross collections made in Chennai after Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' which collected Rs.1.34 crores and Rs.1.32 crores on its day two and day three. In its first two days of release, 'Baahubali 2' has collected Rs.2.24 crores from Chennai theaters alone.

Today is Sunday and tomorrow is a public holiday. We can expect 'Baahubali 2' to create a historic new record in Opening weekend collections in Chennai as well as other places of the world.
