Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of 'Baahubali-2', has been quoted saying by a national daily that the magnum opus will be released in China soon. "Our local distributor has already started working on it," Shobu has told the newspaper.
Remember that the first part flopped badly in China, failing to realize its potential of raking in at least Rs. 100 Cr had it released on time. A prominent film analyst says that it's not easy to get permissions for release in the communist country.
If lucky and the content is appealing, sky is the limit. 'Dangal' has proved it. Shaking the Box Office, the Aamir Khan-starrer has so far clocked more than Rs. 400 Cr, taking the Indian film industry by surprise.
Shobhu now wants his film not to fall prey to piracy and rescue it from a flop by striving for an early release. He couldn't ensure it with first part for reasons not in his control. As a result, the film came a cropper although it was released in 6000 screens.
